Does DomainTools Brand Monitor trigger alerts for domains encoded in other than ASCII for example Cyrillic?

Unlike PhishEye, Brand Monitor unfortunately will not alert on these domains. We do however have a comprehensive mapping of Cyrillic and other character sets to appropriate homoglyph characters in ASCII. Each case will differ so please contact DomainTools support for additional information.

Does PhishEye handle Non-ASCII characters?

FAQ Answer: PhishEye has two main areas of function, Monitors and Search. PhishEye’s Monitor will surface non-ASCII characters (i.e. when your monitor term is “google”, the monitoring system will find the following examples: goôgle, göögle, xn--google). The search function, however, does not identify ASCII characters (i.e. when the search term is “google”, we will only show xn-google and nothing with actual ASCII character substitutions in our results.)
